Nils Görke is a triathlon professional, triathlon expert, European vice champion, triathlon teacher, ex-professional, 8-time Hawaii starter, Ironman top 3 finisher, triathlon coach - for more than 20 years his titles or the profile of his activity have been changing. For his athletes he is simply a "coach". For CURREX he once again changes his title to CURREXPERT. Nils Goerke passes on his experience from his own professional career paired with his sports science expertise from his studies and helps his athletes to achieve top performance.

Success can be planned

Nils takes a systematic approach. For him, endurance sport is a puzzle, and success can be planned if the pieces are put together correctly. Nils emphasises: "When an athlete achieves his or her optimum on the day of a competition and sets new personal best times, then that's just as great for me as it was to have delivered a top result as a professional athlete.

He has several such top results to show. In duathlon he was twice German runner-up, and as a triathlete he was runner-up in the 2004 European Championships. Since his retirement in 2012, he has been coaching athletes. Nils has already dealt with the most diverse approaches to competition and training during his active career. Not only during his studies in Kiel did he devour a lot of literature on the subject, studied various training philosophies, he also worked with successful coaches and combined everything together for himself into one - namely his methodology. Strong athletes thanks to CURREX expertise

The paths of Nils and CURREX already crossed during his studies. CURREX Managing Director Björn studied sports science here together with Nils at the CAU in Kiel. In swimming training, there was always energetic competition to be the better athlete. Nils Goerke still remembers the duels: "In the water I didn't stand a chance against the former top swimmer. When I then wanted to fight back in the run, Björn, strangely enough, always preferred a surf spot and therefore had no time."
