Frederic Funk, 27, is one of Germany's up-and-coming triathletes and has made a name for himself both nationally and internationally in recent years.

If you ask Frederic about his start in triathlon, it quickly becomes clear that triathlon runs like a red thread through his life. His parents have been actively competing for over 30 years - so the endurance gene runs in his family. And yet he had other dreams as a teenager: he wanted to become a professional footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo was his great idol. Today, however, he models himself on another top athlete - triathlon pro Andreas Raelert.

Frederic discovered his passion for triathlon at an early age and continued to develop. What began as a sporting challenge became his true calling. Thanks to his systematic approach and clear goals, he has continuously improved on both the short and middle distance and achieved considerable success.
