When you ask Frederic how he got into triathlon, the answer is that triathlon runs like a thread through his life, because his parents have been competing for 30 years. So Frederic has definitely inherited these endurance genes. However, he admits that as a teenager he dreamed of becoming a professional footballer and idolised Cristiano Ronaldo. Now, however, one of his role models is professional triathlete Andreas Raelert.

Frederic dreams of winning the World Cup in Hawaii
Frederic has been competing as a professional triathlete since 2018 and put a huge exclamation mark on his first year as a professional. Four middle distances with four podium successes. But that's not all, his career continues to pick up speed, so he could shine in 2019 with a victory at Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote and secure first place at Challenge Mallorca and St. Pölten in 2021. Frederic also claimed the title of European 70.3 champion this year at the Ironman race in Walchsee. In the next few years, he wants to establish himself among the world's top middle-distance athletes and, in the long term, make his dream of winning Ironman Hawaii come true.
When asked about his favourite discipline in triathlon, Frederic answers: "Cycling, because it is my strongest discipline and I have the opportunity to explore places all over the world. Swimming I like the least, simply because the training is super boring". Regarding the 3rd and last discipline, running, he knows that this is where he has the most hidden potential to become even stronger. To uncover this potential, we did a running analysis in the 5-D LAB.
